Michael Potter's life, from May 3, 1976, to May 2, 2026, was a reflection of love, devotion, and faith. Family was at the center of who he was, and the love he held for Mrs. Susan was one of the clearest expressions of his heart. Even now, the memory of his faith brings comfort and a quiet smile, reminding us of the hope and grace he carried within him. While we mourn his passing, we also give thanks for a life that touched others so deeply.
Tributes
Today, I honor the life of Susan Okungbowa Ibie with a heart full of sorrow and gratitude. Sorrow, because losing her is deeply painful; gratitude, because her life was a blessing to those fortunate enough to call her a friend. Susan had a rare and beautiful way of bringing people together through her warmth, her sincerity, and her caring spirit. She leaves behind not only memories, but a lasting example of what it means to live with love and generosity. Her absence is deeply felt, but her legacy of kindness will continue to speak for her in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Tribute to My Beloved Friend
Some people leave footprints on your heart so deep, you feel them with every step you take. She was one of those rare souls—more than a friend, truly like a sister. To know her was to be drawn into joy, to be wrapped in kindness, and to witness grace in motion.
She was the heartbeat of every room she entered. Funny in that effortless, contagious way that made you laugh even on the hardest days. Full of life—never halfway, never holding back. Whether she was dancing with abandon, staying late to help clean up, or showing up at someone’s door just to check in, she lived with a generosity that never asked for recognition.
She was always the last to leave the dance floor, and the first to offer a helping hand. That was her rhythm: celebration and service, joy and compassion, all woven together in the way she moved through the world. She didn’t just visit people—she saw them, uplifted them, reminded them they mattered.
Everyone loved her. Not because she tried to be lovable, but because she simply was. Her laughter, her warmth, her unwavering presence—these were gifts she gave freely. And though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit dances on in every memory, every story, every heart she touched.
I miss her deeply. But I carry her with me—in the music, in the laughter, in the quiet acts of kindness she taught me to value. She was a light. And even now, she continues to shine. She is dancing and singing in the presence of her Lord who she loved dearly; and with the angels above.
Rest well, my dear sister-friend. You were a blessing to this world, and you always will be.
